Hello, welcome to Elizabeth UMC!

Elizabeth United Methodist is located in Elizabeth, in West Virginia. We are a small church with

a big heart and we focus on Jesus. Our goal as a church is to keep our eyes on Christ

and invite the Holy Spirit to transform our lives. Keeping our eyes upward, rather than outward.

All are welcome at Elizabeth UMC.

If you are looking for a place to be loved, encouraged and supported in your faith,

we would love to meet you and welcome you!

We each have our own views on what is happening in the world, but at Elizabeth UMC,

We leave those issues outside of the church and come inside to worship God

and learn how to be a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Jesus is the fulfillment of both truth and grace and he calls us to love one another.

But this is only possible, when we allow the Holy Spirit to guide us in all things.

We believe that every believer has the Spirit, sent by Christ to counsel, guide and enabling them

to love as Christ loves.

The scriptures are very clear in Ephesians 4:3,
" Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace."

I have served as a Pastor for 15 years. 30 years in the church. My sermons are focused on Jesus Christ. Inviting all people to the love of God. And helping believers remember who they are in Christ and how important the Holy Spirit is in their lives. God’s truth and grace must be clear and easy to understand and relevant to what people are experiencing now in their lives.

The scriptures reveal how much God loves His creation and offers all people hope and invites us into a relationship with Him. Scripture teaches us who Jesus is and why we need His Spirit guiding our lives.
